Instagram – You can hold it now…

Computers – with help from software, they can be whatever you want them to be. It could let you use it as a calculator, a canvas, a document space, a library, a personal assistant; you name it and chances are it exists in the form of a software. They’ve advanced so much you could have an entire computer system on one. But is that all? Is the transition between hardware and software unidirectional? Well, there’s apparently one that has taken the reverse path. Does anyone know what holding an Instagram feels like?

Computer expert? Not me!!!

No, I don’t suck at computers. You do, statistically. Those words above are what you should remind yourself when I’m around. I’m the computer expert.

Why I’m planning on not having children…

Yeah! I’m lazy and I try shooting multiple targets with one bullet all the time. This time it is three. Achievement unlocked – “Three birds in the hand.” So, let’s get to the elaboration of the three titles, but first a warning. None of it will make sense(it might; but I’ve been told it usually doesn’t, so I’m going with not) at first but all of it will be explained in fragments.

Windows Blue…

Not many of you know this – and why should you? – but Windows is about to get a whole lot better. Microsoft has done an awesome job, bringing to us a whole new perspective on Windows in its most recent OS – Windows 8. It’s been over 4 months since its release, but it continues to overwhelm me to this date. Updates to this OS has been an almost daily thing with the malware definitions more frequent than the rest, but there is one to come that would begin to change it all. To be honest, I’m fascinated by the weirdest of things. An in-built Windows Defender is what made me decide to upgrade to 8 the minute it was released.

Trying Autodesk Motion FX…

Today was a day like any other – I’m pretty much free to do as I please. Unfortunately, that is the very cause of my boredom. So, I decided to start something new. I’ve listed “software advisory” on my Facebook page, but it wouldn’t be right until I actually started some advising.

Force installation of unsigned drivers in Windows 8…

[Update: There’s a newer article that will cover both Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 for installation of unsigned drivers, including the directive screenshots.]

Most consumer devices that computer-syncable usually use the USB port for tethering. The devices have their own controllers, that are automatically installed on your PC during the first time it is plugged in. In Windows, they’re called drivers. Each device has different modes of operations on the hardware level, that the software doesn’t need to know the specifics of. All the software does, is command, and your hardware does what it has to; a driver is like an instruction manual for the hardware. As you can probably imagine, I happen to have at least one of every such thing you can speak of – mice, keyboards, printers, flash drives, wireless XBox game controller, phones, tablets, hard drives, and developer electronic stuff.
