Windows 8.1 – out of the “blue”…

The most recent Microsoft Build conference happened a few days ago and to be honest, we were waiting for this day ever since we realised Windows 8 is not yet done amazing us. We’re quite predictable, unlike Microsoft of course, that way and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next. Windows 8.1 preview has been made publicly available and after a day of using it we love it more than would to have a stable internet connection; seriously, this post should have been up days ago.

Install Steam on your Linux PC…

You might probably know, Steam is a digital distribution, digital rights management, multiplayer and communications platform developed by Valve Corporation. But you’ll most certainly know, it is used for distributing games and related media online. Recently, Valve announced Steam client for Linux, thereby officially expanding their reach outside of the primarily Windows PC world.

Android SDK : installation on Ubuntu via PPA

Android SDK is a development kit targeted at developing apps for mobile devices running Android. With the Android SDK, one can develop, debug, and test apps via an in-built emulator. The emulator can emulate the expected behaviour of the Android OS on many platforms including Linux, Windows, and Mac.
